I had a gold fish who would start "dancing" when I walked in the room - towards me, and then down to the corner where the fish food tin was, then back at me (to match wherever I was as I moved), then back to the fish food tin. I even moved the tin to the top of the tank and it still happened - dance to me, dance up to the tin. Little beast recognized the tin from underneath!
