I Combined The Number Of Each Decade With One Thing That Defined It (9 Gifs)

Hi there. My name is Akber Ahmed and I am an illustrator who currently lives in Berlin, Germany.
I am deeply inspired by history and pop culture. As part of the #36DaysOfType challenge, I combined the number of each decade with one thing that defined it. Through the evolution of culture over each decade, we can trace our steps back in time. Enjoy!

These are so cool!
Thanks!
I love that some of these are GIFs! It really enhances the effect.
Actually all of them are GIFs. You just have to wait and see! 😉
I'm glad I read that. The 1950s makes far more sense when I watched it move. And the 1980s was spot on. I guess because I was there, but it really took me back. Favorite is 1940
The last one is made of Japanese katakana. That was the only thing I saw...
Had no idea! Just knew that this was the font used in The Matrix!
