Two Starving Dogs Transformed From Skeletons Back To Dogs Again

These two dogs, found starving in an abandoned building by the Chicago Police Department back in July, underwent a stunning transformation showing the difference that, love, expert care, and the right food can make.

When they were found, Emmy (brown) and Oscar (white with spots) looked like walking skeletons. Both were suffering from various symptoms of starvation, meaning that the vets at the Trio Animal Foundation had to give them a specially regulated diet. Emmy was adopted by one of her vets while Oscar is still looking for a home.

There is a beast with heart of cold stone that dashes like lightning, shreds flesh from bone. // Bewitched by this beast, I fell to my knees. My mouth babbled madness and mumbled soft pleas. // I stared down the ravenous, gnashing dark maw of a cute cuddly kitten with yarn in its paw

Oh my. Emmy and Oscar, I wish you all the best for the rest of your lifes! Hopefully, Oscar will also find a warm and friendly home and nice family. My own dog also was an "emergency animal", no animal has deserved this!
