Bloggers Reveal The Truth Behind Those ‘Perfect’ Instagram Photos
191Kviews
A while back, we showed you an amazing photo series unveiling the truth behind Instagram photos. This time, we want to show you the truth behind the ‘perfect family’ perception.
For a creative new campaign, ‘A Kitchen Lived In: Perception vs Reality’, British designer and retailer Wren Kitchens teamed up with 5 popular parenting blog owners to show the everyday life that really lies beneath all those ‘perfect’ Instagram pictures. The project shows how cropping, choosing the right angle, and a little photo manipulation can make a messy image look like a perfect portrait.
“Parenting influencers are particularly pressured to perceive themselves as the perfect parents with the perfect life and the perfect kitchen on their blogs,” Wren Kitchens explains. “We asked them to show us their true reality behind the social media’s ‘perfect family’ perception.”

Even the mess is staged. Well at least in some of the photos.
I was thinking the same thing!
Of course it's staged this is a promotional campaign shot in a studio not an actual home :)
Exactly what I was going to write XD
What is happening with that cat?
salmon disappeared from the plate 5 secs after the photo was taken :D
I always suspected them of having more than 1.2 chairs.. (and cutesy kitties/babies)
