Cecil the lion’s death at the hands of a hunter drew worldwide condemnation, but in its aftermath, there is some cause for hope. Wildlife conservation is once again in the public eye, as demonstrated by the stunning display of endangered species on the Empire State building this past weekend. Now, toy manufacturers are joining the effort.

“Hopefully, this special Beanie Baby will raise awareness for animal conservation and give comfort to all saddened by the loss of Cecil,” said Ty Warner.

According to PRNewswire, Ty Warner, Founder and chairman of Ty Inc, has announced a Cecil the Lion “Beanie Baby.” The plush toy will go on sale in September, and retail for around $5.99. Internet trolls can leave their pitchforks at home: 100% of the profits from sales will go to the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit of University of Oxford in Oxford England, the group of researchers that was studying Cecil.
