“Size does matter,” says potter Jon Almeda (previously here). His tiny handmade ceramics are 1″ (2.54cm) in scale but their quality is everything you’d expect from top class ceramics. Everything started when Almeda was simply browsing a bookstore: “I came across a book called ‘Creating Ceramic Miniatures‘ that really changed my whole outlook and approach,” the artist explains. “Throwing small really allows me to focus on the shape and form of a piece. It is a very meditative form of creation.”
