Through My Art I Give Caged Animals Freedom

Lately I’ve been craving the earth and the wild, dreaming about abandoning society and disappearing into the woods. As more and more land succumbs to the touch of man I started thinking about all the caged animals. Those who live in zoos for the purpose of education and entertainment, but who might not be alive without the sanctuary zoos provide.

This inspired me to combine some of my favourite landscapes, snapped throughout my travels, with animals I’ve photographed in zoos. I wanted to use my art to give freedom to all of us beasts who long for something more.
