They Say That The Face Of Zeus Is On The Top Of This Greek Mountain!

This is mountain Orliakas at Grevena, Greece, one of the most ancient mountains in the whole world.

Geologists say that this mountain even existed as a small island in the prehistoric ocean of Tethys, about 250 million years ago, before the opening of the Atlantic ocean.

On one of its peeks, this mountain has a unique feature: a natural “sculpture” of a face that many people think it is the face of Zeus, the God of the Gods in Greek mythology!

Locals say that the face is there since forever and that it stares directly at peek Mytikas of mountain Olympus, around 150 miles away (driving distance). Olympus was the mountain of the Greek ancient Gods and Mytikas specifically was where the throne of Zeus was!

Strange, huh?

For anyone want to visit the location, the coordinates are: 40°00’46.3″N 21°16’36.5″E
