My obsession and love of old architecture and sculptures derived from my stay in the United Kingdom where I went to study design. I’ve always been fascinated by the history of architecture built during the Renaissance/Golden age which generally took decades to get completed unlike the modern day architecture which have a more minimal language and are constructed in a short span of time. I used sketching these buildings as a means to gear my negative thoughts into creating art comprising of, complex buildings with intricate details.
I also juxtapose the old facades with bold geometric lines to initiate a narrative between old and modern with rare colour splashes to highlight certain parts or mute backgrounds. My drawing medium mostly consists of pencils, pens, markers and watercolours.
