Many of us photographers dread winter because everything is, well, dead. I have been there myself until this year. This year I am setting out to find the beauty and magic in all seasons including winter!!! These are a few shots in the beginning phases of my journey this winter and I am finding an entirely new world as I look at things from a different perspective!

Nice...but you should explain a bit more about the background. Is that a Sami setting?

Hi Hans, these are various backgrounds. All natural settings with natural light. One is at my home and the others are at a venue I regularly photograph at here locally. The image of the girl with the puppy, I added a snow overlay to and winterized it some in photoshop. The others have special lighting effects, textures, dodge and burn etc. also done in photoshop to enhance them.
