Who you gonna call when it comes to defying age? Apparently, it’s none other than Ernie Hudson! The beloved actor from the iconic 1984 film ‘Ghostbusters’ and its latest sequel, ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,’ caused quite a stir online due to his remarkably youthful physique despite being 78 years old.

The Internet was set ablaze when photos of Ernie looking dapper on the red carpet for a March 21 photocall in London surfaced.

Dressed casually yet stylishly in a black T-shirt paired with blue jeans and brown leather shoes, he stood out while standing among his co-stars, including Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace.

“Seventy f—ing Eight??” exclaimed a social media user named Dan Thomas, marveling at the actor’s age.

The comment racked up 5.6 million views so far on X, formerly known as Twitter, and saw a flood of comments.

“I thought he looks 45!” commented one X user, while another added, “Christ, I look 30 years older than him, not younger.”

Except for the salt-and-pepper hair, not much about the actor’s appearance has changed in decades

“I am turning 37 this year and look like a bag of potatoes,” read a third comment.

“No way. His parents must have lied about his DOB. I refuse to believe this,” another remarked.

One wrote, “What? That is bonkers. He must have met a genie at some point.”

“His parents must have lied about his DOB,” fans joked as they were awestruck by his appearance at 78

About four decades have passed since Ernie stepped into the shoes of Dr. Winston Zeddemore in the original sci-fi-comedy. The actor said he still receives the same love for his role and the franchise all these years later.

The character Winston has “been such a part of my life, it’s kind of hard to separate. The fans,” Ernie told Screen Rant while speaking to the outlet about the new Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

The actor said Ghostbusters became a major part of his life and said, “The Ghostbuster fans have always been there”

“There’s not a day that I’m on the street or someplace that someone doesn’t yell, ‘Who are you going to call?’ I’ve done a lot of movies and TV shows and some have been very popular, but the Ghostbuster fans have always been there, they tell me their stories,” he continued.

“ … I can’t imagine the last 40 years without it. It’s just been a part of my world,” he added. “And I’m thankful that there’s one film, at least in my filmography, that so many people can relate to. And a lot of the stories are just very, very positive, and I just really appreciate that,” Ernie added.
