Textured Jacket Collection

Hello, my name is Jude Edmondson, I am currently a second year Decorative Arts student studying at Nottingham Trent University, specialising in textiles.

My current project focused on sustainability and using upcycled materials to create something completely different to the original product. I wanted to change the misconception that upcycled items are rough and simple. Also, I wanted to use this project to inform people about textiles waste and teach them about the what happens to the clothing they are buying.

I created a collection of textured jackets inspired by flowers in nature. This inspiration shows through the colour theme used throughout the collection.

Each Jacket is made out of upcycled unwanted clothing, so each is totally unique!
