My name is Alicia J. Kutchaw and I’m a London, Ontario born artist now residing on the west coast of British Columbia. Trained in Fine Arts both at Fanshawe College in London and NSCAD in Halifax, Nova Scotia, I’ve been preparing work for exhibition and sale.
The Terrestrial Whale series was a huge undertaking – in both rendering cetaceans and the above-ground environment that surrounds them.

Mountain Belugas
This was a true challenge in both lighting and rendering both large and small scale mountain environments.
Autumn Greys
A mother and her calf slowly drifting above the fallen leaves in autumn.
Blue Lavender Fields
One of the larger pieces at 24″ x 36″, this piece also rendered the largest whale – the blue whale.
Canyon Dolphins
This was a difficult piece to imagine and render – as the viewer is looking up from a surreal canyon landscape. The location is based off of Antelope Canyon, located in the U.S.
Sky Whales & Infant Gorilla and Narwhal
Forest Salmon Run
One of the most detailed and articulate pieces in the series, this piece was a challenge in both rendering perspective and working with a limited palette.
