When Liz Paley, an artist, saw an article about penguins’ numbers dwindling drastically, she did what any artist in her right mind would do. She started a project to make 1,500 clay penguins. She knew she couldn’t do it alone, so she invited other artists to help. A school in North Carolina heard about this project and wanted to participate.so they invited Liz Paley to talk to them about this project. Now students in 3rd-8th grade are making clay penguins in school.
