She miraculously survived and is now conscious, able to speak, and receiving treatment in an intensive care facility, according to her father, Richard.

Richard learned about Kristin’s fall from an unknown caller, according to his Monday, September 28, interview with Channel 2 Action News.
He said he wasted no time rushing from his home state of Virginia to Athens.
The father declined to discuss the circumstances surrounding the incident in detail but said it occurred after the Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 41-13.
“I bet there were a lot of kids who were 21 years old who were happy,” he remarked.
Kristin was dancing on a sofa when she went over the nearby open window.
Her father also said she had been engaged in a phone conversation when the event unfolded.
“She was talking to one of her friends and saying, ‘Hey, I’m alive. I can’t believe it,’” he recalled.

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department described Kristin as five feet seven inches tall and weighing 115 pounds in a statement to NBC News.
The building where she fell was identified as Rambler Athens at 558 W. Broad Street.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m.
“When I arrived, the victim was on the ground near the pool, which at this complex is in a courtyard on the second floor of the building. It appeared from the scene that the victim had struck a metal bench,” Sgt. Erik Ellison told the outlet.
He added that he noticed the bench cushion “had some blood on it” and that its armrest had “broken off.”
This led him to believe that the object may have absorbed some of the impact of Kristin’s descent.
The initial investigation “thus far suggests that this was an accident” and that the victim “will survive,” Ellison added.
University of Georgia students expressed their astonishment over the case as the investigation continues
ABC 9 interviewed UGA student Carolyn Diver about Kristin’s fall.
“Disbelief. Definitely. You don’t hear about that happening a lot of time,” she told the outlet.
Alemania Ayala echoed the sentiment in her own conversation, saying, “When I heard it happened, I was like, there is no way that happened.”
People have been sending well wishes to Kristin, with posters displayed inside the Rambler Athens premises.
A representative for the off-campus student housing facility also extended their best wishes to the young woman via The New York Post.
“Our thoughts are with our resident, and we are wishing for a speedy recovery,” they said.
The building said it was gathering information and reviewing the circumstances surrounding the incident to share with law enforcement.
It also advised tenants not to “tamper with, remove or disengage” safety limiters installed on windows throughout the property.
It remains unclear whether the window Kristin Sargent fell from had a disengaged safety limiter or whether its absence played a role in the incident.
The incident sparked a string of lighthearted reactions and jokes across social media
“God said, ‘not today,’” one netizen wrote, while another asked, “Was she dancing to I Will Survive?”
A third advised Kristin to “take up skydiving” to test her luck.
A fourth user, meanwhile, demanded that she find out “who made that pool bench” and “share the link.”
Some social media users also speculated about whether liquor consumption may have played a role in Kristin’s survival, although the theory has no scientific backing.
“Landed like a cat! Maybe she was drunk and so had relaxed muscles?” one wrote.
“That is 100 percent why,” another replied.
