A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a series of movies completely changed the world. Not just at the box office (though the billions in revenue from those films certainly helped) but because it changed how we thought about sci-fi and special effects and even our own place in the universe. For all its epic space battles and unforgettable characters, Star Wars is still as much a part of pop culture today because of its quotes. These gems have gone on to inspire band names, memes, nicknames, t-shirts and other merchandise, game day pep talks, and bar monikers. The most oft-repeated line, “May the Force be with you,” became the punny name of the Star Wars holiday, May The 4th Be With You, unofficially known as Star Wars Day.

Ugh. I really dislike this being used as an 'inspirational' quote, it's taken totally out of context. It's stressing the important of what he needs to do and being sick of Luke's apathy. But in reality, in day to day life, you cannot do if you don't first try. Trying is the most important thing and too many people are scared to try as it is. Even when you're talking about firing your proton torpedoes into the thermal exhaust port to destroy the Death Star. Yes I'm fun at parties. Seagulls (stop it now).
