Question #9. World War II did not end with the surrender of Germany in May of 1945. It ended in September of 1945 when Japan surrendered.
Depends where you live. Most Europeans would say the "World" war ended when Germany surrendered. The when you remind them about Japan they'd go... hmmm yea, I suppose.
