Woman Blindsided By Sudden End To Her “Rock Solid” Relationship Of 5 Years
You can never know what goes on in another person’s head, and misreading people can often lead to heartbreak in relationships. One partner might think they’re in the perfect relationship while the other is on a completely different page. One study has found that one in four people keep secrets from their romantic partner, and some secrets might make or break a relationship.
This woman was blindsided by the things her boyfriend of five years was hiding from her. While she imagined he was her best friend and dreamed of getting married, he was on a completely different page. Although he kept telling her he wanted the same things, in his heart, he was doing it only because of his people-pleasing tendencies. So, when he finally came clean one evening, the woman found out their relationship wasn’t as perfect and rock solid as she’d imagined.

However, when the woman came back with an update, all the advice seemed unnecessary

Very near the beginning of reading.her explain her feelings I could see she's very insecure so needed lots of reassurance because of her past traumas. Someone so emotionally needy can be difficult to live with unfortunately. I think her boyfriend spent a long time trying to improve her self esteem but eventually decided this wasn't going to happen and couldn't stand the thought of living and having children with her for the rest of his life. Sad for both of them.

I drifted into this relationship with a woman who loves me and now I have to start thinking about futures and stuff and I can't handle that.'. Some people just want a protracted adolescence. People might say that marriage is unnecessary or is just paper, especially if there are no plans for children, but there is more to it. Ideally, Marriage is an acknowledgement that you have thought about it and are prepared to publicly commit to someone, to try your best to be a lifelong partner to someone. Marriage isn't just drifting with the currents; it is deliberate decision and promise.
