Normally there's no thumb but some cats are polydactyl and have all different configurations.

Polydactyl cats have an extra digit in each front paw, often called thumbs ☺

Normally they have 5 toes on front and 4 in back. This one appears to be polydactyl, 6 or 7 in front. Sometimes they also have 5 in back.

the slits aren't the space between toes, but it's claws :) and they do have a 5th toe/claw on the inside of their front legs further up near their wrist but it's fairly useless :)

The slits you see aren't the space between his toes, but where his claws are :) 4 claws, 4 toes ^^ (and they do have a 5th toe/claw further up near the wrist but it's gotten rather small and useless with evolution)
