This seems a bit strange. If you need an alarm clock to wake up, you are not getting enough sleep.

Is this serious? If you have a painful body part, not putting weight onto it is something that a 12 month old baby has already figured out!

Deep REM? Deep sleep is non-REM sleep (N1 - N3). The temperature recommendations are rather random. Many sources state not 20 C (68 F) but rather 18 C – but this seems to be highly individual.

Ever wondered why even Ikea has a selection of 15 or so pillows? Because a pillow is an extremely individual thing, depending on whether you sleep on your side, on your back, or on your belly, whether you change positions, how heavy you are etc. etc.

Oh god, I hate when this happens. I'm sleeping and having a nice time then I go to stretch in my sleep and BOOM I'm up for the rest of the night.

Talk to a doctor first to make sure it is no permanent medical conditions. Do not eat junk food late at night.

Yeah seriously for those who might not be aware. Having just a little indigestion every night while sleeping can lead to a list of bad things that will happen if left untreated. From teeth erosion to holes in your throat. Just taking a Tums before bed will not be enough to stop it.

Did they fix the picture? Because I see then sleeping on their left side... Also, when I was pregnant I found that for minor reflux taking a swig of pickle juice helped.

Elevated pillow is good but just raising your head isn't always enough and if you do it poorly can jack up your neck. Elevating the mattress with towels underneath is even better because you won't slide off the pillow during sleep back to a flat position. Or you can put risers under the legs near head of bed. A slight elevation can help. I've never been told the left side sleeping option so no idea how well that works.

Too bad I have shoulder pain. I can't sleep on my side. I guess I have to keep snoring!
