Siberian Farm Cats Have Absolutely Taken Over This Farmer’s Land, And They’re Absolutely Majestic
Just when you think you're the craziest cat lady around, someone else goes ahead and one-ups you to the fullest. Russian farmer Alla Lebedeva has turned her homestead into a cat shelter known as 'Catland,' and has gone viral with the incredible photographs and videos she takes of her many glorious Siberian cats.
Stationed in Prigorodny, just outside Barnaul, Siberia, Lebedeva and her husband Sergey have been raising these beautiful cats for over a decade. "How many do we have now? To such a question I usually answer 'a million, maybe more,'" Lebedeva tells DesignYouTrust. "They live in the henhouse... They have three ‘little bedrooms’ there where can they sleep according to how they feel. Our Siberian kittens protect the chickens and rabbits from rats and mice."
Alla's photo and video diary of her fluffy cats' daily adventures now have a following of over 2 thousand on YouTube, yet they continued to be circulated around the Internet without permission and passed off as 'Norwegians.' Though this fluffy cat breed is closely related to the famous Norwegian Forest Cat, please remember that they are separate species - and always remember to credit anything you share if possible. It's good for your health.

When I researched this breed several years ago, this photo comes up. It's gorgeous and for those of you who think you can't have cats because of allergies, think again. Many people with cat allergies can tolerate Siberians.
Maine Coons and Forest Cats as well, they shed once a year. In summer my Forest cat sheds his winter coat. Quite the site.
Load More Replies...Genetically adapting to their environment. Very beautiful and very interesting.
I am actually a dog lover. But these cats are so beautiful! I think I'd actually think about having one.
The one one the right looks like one of my cats IMG_0865-5...04882a.jpg
No, don't worry, they're perfectly adapted to the cold. They're called "Siberian Cats" for a reason.
Load More Replies...Do you know where I can buy one of these beautiful cats?? My contact number is 661-264-8238 I would appreciate any help in finding these cats
These cats are so so gorgeus and beautiful <3 <3 <3 I am so happy that they have a chance to live a real cat life outdoors, having freedom and hunting mice. I feel pity for all the cats that are indoors in small apartments, spayed, neutered, getting stupid, sick, fat and lazy, only sleeping most of the time. The Siberian cat fur coat loves winter and cold and disappears completely in hot apartments, I am sure. I had a free roaming "Finnish Forest Cat" that also had magnificent fur coat in winter and would go out even in - 30 C and love it. In summer he shed away his coat.
I have two Siberian ladies and they're the most tender, beautiful creatures.
The large ginger kitty looks just like my LeAnder! Well, LeAnder has a cataract.
In America, Jack Frost nips at your cat's nose. In Russia, cat nips at Jack Frost's nose--and laughs.
The one on the right: Sorry, our territory. The one on the left: And I'm coming as backup. They are absolutely gorgeous.
Cute, but they are not a "separate species"...all domestic aka house cats around the world are the same species; these are just a particular breed.
Actually these have bred so perfectly amongst themselves for so long to adapt to their surroundings, that they are more a subspecies than they are a breed. They have much different characteristic and body build and body function than a regular cat.
Load More Replies...Why do they look so evil? Like they would tear you to shreds if they got the opportunity.
They should turn these photos into a calendar. I'm sure it would sell well.
Cat on the left: "You smell funny, Grigor Nikoláievich". Cat on the right: "WHA...? Sorry, Alyosha Mikáilovich, I thought you were a mirror".
Are Siberian Cats larger like the Main C**n or larger? They do look big.
Every one of these photographs is excellent! I do hope Alla puts out a calendar!

"When you're a cat, you're a cat all the way, from the first little pet to your last meowing day..."
Are the giant short haired ones Siberians too! - ALL too cute for words!!!
The comment by Kent Obediah Hayton has a large (supposed) spoiler for The Last Jedi, just FYI. So don't click on it if you don't want to know.
I have such pity for people like Kent. I mean, how lonely and pathetic must one be to seek attention in such a manner?
Load More Replies...It's a separate BREED not species - a species can't interbreed to produce fertile offspring. If you're going to make a point of correcting people - get it right!
WOW most of them´re Sibirian Forest Cats, my Gizzy´s a Norwegian Forest Cat mix, but not as super-fluffy because he´s a pure indoor cat, if he went outside he´d probably be as fluffy in winter!!! Here he is with his patchwork brofur Thori (a shorthaired Maine C**n mix): 10308434_1...727907.jpg
Incredibly beautiful as they are, all those cats (even the kitties) sure as hell take no s**t from ANYONE. My kind of cat actually.
Our Precious is half Siberian Forest Cat from her daddy 20171205_0...d54411.jpg
Thx for your likes. She'll be 5 yrs old in February and weighs 16#. Biggest female which I shared my home. Her coat has 4 layers beginning with a soft grayish undercoat. Next is much darker grey/black. Then her calico coat and finally a white fiber optic looking halo surrounding her. She loves to play in water in the sink and will dunk her entire head under the faucet on trickle. Water just beads up and runs off her. She's never been outside except by carrier. 20150209_0...679248.jpg

Wow these are the most beautiful cats I’ve ever seen. Must be just a joy having them around.
I own a Russian Siberian. He is almost 3. These cats are everything and more. Truly a majestic and whimsical breed of cats!!
The perfect fluffy for me. Have been reading about them lately, and would love to have one.
I wanna move to Siberia and live on your farm. Only I can't handle cold weather. Maybe I can live in a greenhouse? That way I can still enjoy your magnificent cats.
Can I just have them all? Can they all just curl up in my bed with me, and the wonderful cat I already have, on every cold winter night please? Especially those little kitten ones! What could go wrong with that? I'll just have 50 cats living in my room!
These cats are absolutely gorgeous and I wish I had one. Alla Lebedeva your babies are beautiful and thank you for sharing.
Alla- Thank you for taking such good care of these beautiful creatures! They are beautiful.
I am awaiting the birth of my Siberian kitten in Denver, CO. I can not wait to get my kitty!! Over the years, I have saved 8 wonderful cats and 2 dogs. I now have young grandchildren that want to snuggle, hold, and love a kitty. Siberian cats are known to be very affectionate, do not shed much, a bit more hypo allergenic than other breeds, enjoy dogs, and kid friendly!!
great ! but they don't look like easy, even for a photo...well , they are cats , a bit bit wilder and tough
These are some of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen! They look to all be a team guarding their property! You have a real treasure here Madame so please treat them as the real princes and princesses they are! Magnificent!!
All of them are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your beautiful family!
Beautiful. Would love to have one join my farm cats!
These cats are MAGNIFICENT! Were I able, I'd try to go to Siberia and get one... TRULY gorgeous creatures.
Are these feral cats? Responsible for taking care of themselves without humans helping to feed them? What can they possibly eat in all that snow? Frozen mice-creams?
I want a Siberian cat. How do I get one if it isn’t too expensive. Are they in the US?
Beautiful, but I do hope they are responsible guardians...spay, neuter, rescue, even if only just MOST of them. I can see wanting more of these beauties, but please just be good stewards! (so, OK, where can I get one?)
Do the owners brush them regularly? If not, how come they are not suffering severely from matted fur?
Are you sure that they're separate species, i.e. that they can't interbreed? Seems a stretch.
Gorgeous Cats! I haven't logged in to Bored Panda for about 6 months or so, but What is up with all of the ads littering these posts?? It has absolutely Ruined their website. My adblocker was disabled for this site previously but turning it on hasn't done a thing. What happened, BP friends? Does anyone know?
Why would anyone want to wear a dead furpiece? Not only do these gorgeous creatures make any dead mink collar look moth-eaten, if you drape one of these amazing floofs around your neck, the purrs and kitty kisses would keep you in a state of euphoria.
I got to look after a Siberian kindle this summer - best.week.EVER!! Such lovey cats.
Lovely cats. I would like to point out that the Norwegian Forest cat and the Siberian cat are not separate species, they are both the same species of animal, they are separate breeds of cat.
These are Siberian FOREST Cats, who are kin to the Norwegian version.
I'd absolutely prefer a garden teeming with rodents, birds, lizards than tons of cats. Recent studies have estimated up to 3,7 billion birds killed by house cats every year alone in the USA!
