Tread lightly through the circle of the sleeping Fairy Fae. Stay but a moment, lest you be swept away. You’ll awaken on the forest floor, having slept for days.
Long-ago adopted fairies I sculpted from polymer clay. I designed canes such as flowers, leaves and lace, then reduced them to a tiny scale. Fairies are dressed in petals, some pearlescent. Wisps of mohair and touches of paint gave the miniature sculptures their character. Some had matching boxes, filled with comfy moss. Hmmmm…I think I’ll take a nap.

A nap upon a leaf so green-
the perfect place, perchance, to dream.

Reindeer moss makes the perfect bed and a soft little fungus to lay her head.
Coco
Oh, the luck! A person-coin fallen in the lawn. A slumber near for fairy dear makes the good luck strong.
Beezie
Dreams so sweet, like morning dew. She doesn’t care she’s lost her shoes.
Peapod
Upon the soil, moist and loam
is where her dreams are most at home.
Tialina
Perhaps she is a princess, someone said, because she had the most amazing bed.
Tialina
A rare fairy holding, she’s undisturbed. Should she awaken, wrath will be hers.
Sweet Dreams
The fairy story has come to an end. It’s time to ease your mind. Dream of sweet forest friends and magic they leave behind.
