    So 13 is completely wrong. It's not Maria who was captured, but her attention. Either of the left-hand two answers is better.

    All of the options are grammatically incorrect. Correct versions would be 'Walking through the ruins, Maria found her attention captured by...', or 'As Maria was walking through the ruins, her attention was captured by...'
