We Created The First Sand Hotel In The World And We Think It’s Sandtastic
In the Netherlands, our team has created the first Sand Hotels in the world. Hidden in a giant sand sculpture of 8 meters high, our guests can stay in a magical world of sand. We decided to accept this challenge because we were inspired by Ice Hotels in Sweden and Finland.
From the outside the Sand Hotel in Oss looks like a giant medieval castle, and the Sand Hotel in Sneek depicts the Great Wall of China. These hotels have sandy walls and ceiling, and several sand sculptures dotted in the rooms.It took us approximately 5 weeks, and about 12-15 people to create them.
Of course, the hotels are 100% safe to stay in, and thanks to our amazing partners, such as Royal Auping, that jumped on board straight away, we can offer a very comfortable stay! We are planning to open more Sand Hotels around the globe in 2016 and after, and are looking for local partners to join forces!
