While Netflix has long had a ‘no password sharing’ policy, extremely high levels of password sharing exist between family and friends. But that doesn’t mean you share your Netflix login details with just anyone. Quite the contrary, it has become the ultimate sign of friendship, love, and trust among people.

But what if the person you’ve entrusted your password to has suddenly become slightly too comfortable with it? I know it’s been back on our minds constantly, but you don't necessarily expect someone close to you to start leeching instead of getting a Netflix streaming plan of their own. It turns out that some people do indeed trade their dignity for $8.99 they could instead pay for a basic subscription.
