While sculpting the stone, a “discussion” takes place… The face and the secrets of the stone are then revealed!
Those are the words of Nikos Baharidis, an artist from Thessaloniki, Greece. He also works with wood, aluminum and other materials, but his main preference is stone.
Nikos collects the stones around Aliakmon and Venetikos, the two gorgeous rivers of the Grevena district in Greece.
He says: “A stone can definitely be fascinating… its colors, its shape… a shape that Nature has created slowly for millions and millions of years! The face is already inside the stone, all I have to do is to reveal it”
