The Difference A Rescue Can Make
its always nice to see people care for the animals. a small act makes a big difference!
It's these things that restore my faith in humanity. the care and love that you give to cats like these can really make a difference in their lives- for the better.
Remy B. Nobody Loved Him For 6 Years, Until We Did
I love the ear! My cat was rescued from a dumpster as a kitten. Someone shot him and left him for dead. But the bullet only grazed his head and went through the ear. So I love his little janky ear and everything about him.
My Wife And I Rescued This Sweet Little Girl Last July. This Is Her Now
Bored Panda contacted Louise Lee, the media officer at the non-profit Blue Cross For Pets organization, which specializes in animal adoption in the United Kingdom. We asked Louise if more people are willing to take the “adopt, don’t shop” approach these days. Luckily, it seems so. “We rehomed over 9,000 pets last year, which has increased significantly since a decade ago.”
The stigma about rescued cats is slowly fading away. “Such misperceptions that these pets were all given up because of behavior and that they're 'broken' are gradually changing, and people understand pets are handed over for all sorts of reasons,” explained Louise.
It's Almost A Year Since My Friend Brought Home A Rescue Kitten, So She Decided To Recreate The First Picture She Took Of Him
That's how I got my Mason... Unfortunately he succumbed to the same deadly heart murmurs that affect many Main Coons and died because something like a Stroke Shower. If you ever have a MC be prepared to have a cardiologist in your cat's life... and the added expense. I didn't believe the hype and absolutely regret my mistakes for him. Mason was well the best cat/dog I've ever had.

Cool. 'little' guy that owns the house I presume. That's the way life is supposed to be. Thanks for adopting your buddy. I know , I adopted a dog. - he adopted me. Enough said ( lol) Be safe all. So glad we have a pet or more.
Louise said that “we’re working hard not only to change the perception of pets in rescue” but also to help people who can’t cope with their pet. “We seek to take the 'shame' away from people who are struggling to cope with their pet and decide to rehome or their circumstances change.” As a result, the adoption assistance team at Blue Cross never judges anyone.
But the pet adoption expert warns that it’s important to get the whole family on board when it comes to adopting an animal. “Make sure everyone in a family wants a pet and understands their responsibilities, the time needed, and financial commitment before getting a pet.” Even if taking in a pet will surely have an effect on your lifestyle, it really pays off seeing your kitty happy.

We are having the exact same thing with out rescue Tortoiseshell, Lola. The hilarious thing is she still thinks she's kitten sized, and gets stuck in things all the time. I had to rescue her from falling headfirst into our vent just a few days ago :D

This Is 1.5 Years Old Pelle. I Became His Momma When His Cat Momma Didn't Want To Take Care Of Him
Our cat Twixxy was a farm kitten. Apparently her mother brought her into the house and left her there. We took her along with two others. Seems her mother knew best, she's a loon who won't let us pick her up and runs like we're going to kick her. She's 11 years old now.
I Found Chelvin Very Sick And Malnourished Just Outside My Neighborhood. He Was Only A Few Weeks Old. Three Weeks Of Love And Care Went A Long Way

Cat Foster Family Said "Don't You Want To Adopt These Two? They'd Be So Happy Together." They Were So Right
Whenever possible, give them a pal to play with. It has to be better for their mental health to grow up with another of their species.
AAbsolutly agree - the amount of necessary food, toys , medical costs and duties which will add when you have two cats is so little compared the joy of having two cats. If they are friends before addopting they will remain the best companion to each other. It is so sad when that kind of pairs will be separated.
Load More Replies...Just looking at them I've got that Stevie Wonder and Paul Mc McCartney song Ebony and Ivory going off in my head. And yet it was John Lennon who had one black and one white cat. And true to his sense of humour he called the black one Salt and the white one Pepper.
They are both beautiful. I adopted a family of four and now have two sisters plus our beautiful black cat BG.

They do. And could bring to so many if more humans could realise that. Not to deliberately BREED more but to take care of already born first. A stray is just as beautiful and loving as a “pure blood”.
They certainly are worth it, aren't they... ;) Thank You for saving this wonderful life!!

Peter The Cat On The Day My Daughter Rescued It From A Ditch, And Four Years Later
Perhaps slow down on her feeding him that much so she will have him longer in her life...
Three Months & Two Lbs Later
He was given up by his previous owners and spent 4+ months malnourished, matted, and uncared for in a shelter, even though he's the sweetest and most gentle cat I've met. I'm grateful for every day that I get to spoil this kitty.
Apparently none that deserves that name. Poor thing...
Load More Replies...I can just about understand the matteed issue with a shelter, where people are in way over their head and simply don't have time to brush that kind of fur. But not the malnoruished issue. that is just negligence
I'm with you on the matted hair part, daily brushing may be out of the question, but a shave only takes about 10 minutes and a pair of welder's gloves
Load More Replies...Bless you for seeing past the mats to the beautiful baby underneath.
I was going to ask the same question. The "shelter" should be reported to the authorities. That's animal cruelty.
Animals know when they get a second chance in life. You don't want a thank you, but to him He would say THANK YOU. Love will keep growing! He is. a cool looking cat. Stay safe!
Exactly One Year When I Rescued Him. He Had A Lot Of Medical Problems And Almost Didn't Survive When He Had FCV. He Is Now A Healthy Whiny Lil Baby With A Small Head

Thanks for the rescue, a handsome boy, he must have suffered, people like you, deserve a medal, you chose a very sick baby, some would not, bless you !!!
Rah And Luna, From "Dumpster Kitties To Laying Pretty"
One more miracle, thanks for the rescue, they are beautiful, bless you !!!
Mako And Bolin (Censored For Gross Eye Stuff)
Not to be cruel or anything.. but do u imagine just how fast people would stop or at least slow/limit inflicting senseless s*** on animals or other people if the punishment fit the act?
The pirate twins! Glad you adopted them and gave them a chance at a good life.
These kitties didn't deserve that ;3; glad they're happy and safe now ;3;
It took me a while to find out which cat is which in the 2nd picture! The one on the right in #1 is the one in the front in #2, for anyone who tried to do the same thing! (Dark stripe under the eye)

This Is Sumi, Sumi Was A Stray Kitten
Her mother was run over by a car and left dying. Nobody in the neighborhood cared about it, so I adopted them. Both were sick, couldn't really walk and were skinny. Sadly her brother died shortly after we took them to the vet. She lives for both of them now.
Looks like our Ace. His mother was frightened away and we raised him and his brothers from a week or two old. One of his brothers didn't make it either. Gave away the surviving brother to a friend with a chicken restaurant, then couldn't part with him. You're doing such a wonderful thing. I'm sorry about his brother.

Let's admit it: he came to adopt you and the house. He rules it now. Lucky u :)
I was never a cat person too...and now I have 2! I rescued mine, a year apart, from the feral colony in the neighborhood and couldn't turn away. First one was 3 weeks and flea covered and the second one was 6 mos. Now they're 2 spoiled kitties and the dog seems to love them too.
Everyone's a kitty person when they find that cat that just moves them.
Jsyk, milk is not good for cats' digestive systems. (P.S. kitty is adorable)
They Were Taking Him To The Pound When I Adopted Julius. Today Is His 10th Birthday
Tiny Zac Was Discovered In A Ditch, Without A Mom Or Siblings, Flea-Infested, Starved & Anemic
He was then rescued but had trouble gaining weight & figuring out grooming & how to socialize. 5 years go by & now he’s my outgoing & healthy boi with more friends than he can count on 4 paws.
This Is Daryl. He Was Found In A Pick Your Part Yard By Himself. He Was Very Malnourished & Dehydrated. The Vet Didn't Think He Would Make It, But I Didn't Give Up

We Rescued This Cat From The Streets, She Could Barely Eat And Walk. Meet Missy, Then And Now, 5 Months Apart. This Is How Care And Love Can Change Lives
I also have a Missycat. Not a stray or even a rescue, but she would have been if we hadn't taken her from her previous owner. Took her in for what was supposed to be a week or too. We became her forever home. Her name was originally Monkey. I couldn't do it, had to find a name that would sound familiar to her, and Missy was it.
Rescued Her From The Street 1 Year Ago, She's Doing So Well Now
12 Weeks Ago I Rescued Ollie From Horrible People, Looking Back At Pictures From Then I Am Amazed At How Much He Has Changed
When you see the state that some people let animals get into, you wonder why they aren't in jail.

Moo Was Found On The Street With A Heart Murmur, Barely Any Teeth, And Fiv. He's Now Living Out His Twilight Years As A Lap Cat
Awww...my rescue kitten had a heart murmur as well, and the vet only gave him a few months. But with good medication and lots of TLC, he lived 5 very happy years with us before he succumbed to his heart condition.
