What was life like before this, before we were thrust into being here on Earth?
By photographing newborn babies on black and by just letting them be, Essex newborn baby photographer Louisa Ward found that she could create a real sense of how life in the womb was.
At just days old, babies still naturally curl themselves up and position themselves in the same way they did when in the womb and by producing images on black it helps to create a sense of depth and a feeling that they are back within the safety of their mother’s uterus.
Just a small insight into something that none of us ever remember.
