50 Paintings By Kamalky Laureano That Are So Incredibly Detailed, You Might Confuse Them With Photos
It takes a special gift to be able to paint artwork with such precision that viewers start second-guessing their eyesight. Kamalky Laureano is undoubtedly one of those utterly talented artists whose beautiful paintings are easily confused with real high-resolution photographs. This Mexico City-based artist from the Dominican Republic puts so much attention into details, like freckles, pores, and skin texture that it’s hard to believe it’s, in fact, paint on canvas. It feels as if you can actually see the countless hours spent perfecting the work, dedication, and exceptional talent imprinted into his realistic paintings.
“I like to create intricate drawings, controlled explosions of matter shaped until I'm happy.” – says 35-year-old artist on his Instagram page, which has now attracted almost 80k followers and counting. But what really makes Kamalky’s work stand out is his ability to portray the genuine emotion in his portrait paintings which results in incredibly soulful finished artworks.
Look through some of Kamalky’s unique artworks and don’t let the hyperrealism trick your mind.

I love how this artist doesn't just portray idealistic people and creates images that include several differences and everyone is not conventionally attractive. This is something a lot of other artists don't seem to take into consideration.

This reminds me of that article on BoredPanda about the computer generating extremely detailed photos of people who don't exist. Same deal with this, too. Wicked.

Of all of the photo-realistic artists on boredpanda, this may be the best. Plus the composition of the subject matter is hypnotically beautiful.
