My rats (Phoebe (RIP little girl), Wren, and Lark) are all adorable, a little hyper and really sweet. While my girls don’t like snuggling (there is too much stuff to smell in the world to wast time on snuggling!) but many rats want to spend every second of every day with their person. They all have different personalities, likes and dislikes, some are smarter than others, some like a belly rub while others would much prefer someone petting their cheeks.

They are really like dogs in some ways: playful, trainable, smart, loving, and cute.

Just remember: if you get a rat, you have to get at least two, do not get a girl and a boy unless one of them is fixed (or you will have many, many babies in a few weeks, two girls or two boys is best, and don’t buy them from the pet store, adopt them from Mainely Rat Rescue. The rescue now has Lark’s mother up for adoption.

My Phoebe and Wren going crazy for food.

She is not one of mine but Zoe really likes giving kisses.

He is also not mine. My girls would never sit still for that long.

My Lark and Wren running on the wheel. Lark is the baby, Wren is the big girl.
