Maybe it’s just a hangover from last night’s doomscroll, but sometimes the internet can feel like a pretty lonely place. Heck, sometimes it can feel downright dystopian. We’re sharing so much of our lives online (marriages, births, vacations, even our fit checks), but sometimes it can feel like all that sharing doesn’t necessarily translate into connecting. And when you’re not feeling so great yourself, scrolling through everyone else’s curated perfection can make you feel like the only one who missed the memo on how to have your life together.
Luckily, some meme accounts just get it. Take @l0wkeyhurt, for example. With the tagline “lowkey hurt. highkey hilarious,” the account turns the thoughts and feelings we might otherwise keep to ourselves into memes that are painfully relatable and, thankfully, pretty funny too. Because sometimes the best antidote to feeling like you’re the only one struggling with the absurdity of it all is realizing you’re not—and getting to laugh about it together.

This was me when my insurance company said it would not pay my $32,000 hospital bill. ( A few days later they sent me a "Just kidding. We'll pay." letter.)
In my life, being self aware has usually itself been my most self destructive pattern.
I already have four medical appointments in the next three days. I'm not keen to find out what "next stage" is.
This creature is a weirdly accurate depiction of how that feels.
The evidence clearly suggests that my thinking skills are in a critical condition.
People should know better than to listen to me by now, so, really it's their own fault.
Assuming the person fully committed to you has figured you out correctly.
Sounds like another pretentious chef trying to reinvent the chip.
I'm in this picture and I don't like it. Also it's 08:18 AM right now and I'm about to go to sleep 🙂↕️
Dammit BP,where do you keep getting these pictures of me?
I had to ask my therapist last week what the word "fun" meant. I'd never encountered it.
i have learned never to control my facial expressions. having to hide how i feel about things has led to depression and anxiety. instead, now, after years of practice, meditation, and yoga, i feel what i feel in the moment and i say so. much better.
If it was, I'd hold a few platinum trophies and I'd be suffocated in medals
