It Looks Like The Queen Just Trolled The UK Prime-Minister About Brexit In The Most Brilliant Way
726Kviews
When The Queen of England delivers her yearly speech, she usually does so while dressed in a plethora of typically royal regalia. Jewels. Furry robes. And, of course, a crown.
But this year Queen Elizabeth II raised eyebrows by ditching the traditional regal attire and opting instead for a simpler outfit. But it wasn’t so much the style of the outfit as the colors she chose to wear, because as you can see from the pictures below, which were recently uploaded by somebody named WelshArtist, the blue fabric and yellow flowers on her hat bear more than a striking resemblance to the colors of the EU flag. The fact that her speech focused heavily on Brexit only added to the rumors. Was The Queen sending a secret message about her thoughts on leaving the EU? Was she subtly trying to troll UK Prime Minister Theresa May? Or did she simply like the colors and decide to wear them because she’s the Queen of England and can do whatever she damn well pleases? Nobody knows for sure. What do you think?

Is it just us or does the queen’s hat look like the EU flag?

So clever. She can't have political opinion but still find a way to express herself :)

Why not?, I thought any opinion any Government ever had was Political by the very nature.
She is not a part of British Government
The Queen is meant to be neutral and simply rubber-stamps what the government decides.

the queen is consider head of the church. the British have a law that separates the church from the government. if the ruler says anything political out in the open it could be a reason to arrest them. now the ruler (king or queen) are in charge of the prime minister who's job is to make sure the government is going well and to have a weekly meeting with the ruler. while they are having a meeting is where the ruler can talk about policy. the prime ministers job is to try to follow what the ruler says..... it's complicated bureaucracy.
Almost everything you wrote is 100% wrong. I hope you are not a UK resident.
There is no division between church and state in the UK because the monarch is technically the head of both. The British monarch is above the law and cannot be arrested or tried under UK civil or criminal law. It's entirely the royal family's personal decision not to shown political partiality or express political views in public. The weekly meeting with the Prime Minister, is merely for the purpose of keeping the monarch abreast of national events. He/she has absolutely no day to day influence over government and it's not her/his"job" to form policy or tell the Prime Minister what to do, nor yet the Prime Minister's job to tell the monarch what to do. The queen does have the power to dissolve parliament and veto laws made by parliament, but those powers have not been used since Victoria was queen over 100 years ago.

How ridiculous! Here in the UK the Queen is head of state as well as The Church of England, therefore Parliament, and can dismiss both chambers - Member and Lords if so wished. That won't happen. Let's face it, she's old and shit...
Awesome! Subtle but pointed. Very British :-)
Please allow a little bit of slack for an old lady of 91 years.
I'd be in my pj's at her age!!!!
I am already haha
I wouldn't even bother with pj's anymore at that age 😉
