I am a photographer from Ljubljana, Slovenia. During quarantine, I have not only worked from home but also home-schooled three children, so it was crucial for me to also find time for myself. Luckily we were not confined to stay home at all times in our country, so photography was an important creative outlet, my time for myself, time to escape reality and routine, time to express how I felt, time to feel free.

In this series of self-potraits, called QuarantiMe (word play combining quarantine/time/me) , I explore the themes of isolation, loneliness, different perspectives, escapism, freedom and also rebellion – while taking the photos, I got told to leave the city by several security guards and stopped by the police, not to mention all the ugly looks I got from by-passers for even being outside, although alone. These series is also dedicated to them. And to the time when feeling free was a rebellious act.
