Paid Puppy Leave Is A Thing Now, And It’s The Most Pawsome Idea Ever
23Kviews
Finally, a company that understands that getting a puppy is a bit like taking a newborn human home, which deserves getting a paid leave – the ‘BrewDog’ just made ’puppy parental leave’ official. This trendy UK-based brewery, which was established by ‘two men and a dog’ back in 2007, now offers a week off for those who get a puppy. ‘’It’s not easy trying to juggle work and settle a new dog into your life, and many members of our crew have four-legged friends at home,” said Brewdog co-founder James Watt when discussing their new ‘paw-ternity leave’ policy. “So we wanted to take the stress out of the situation and let our teams take the time they need to welcome their new puppy or dog into their family.”
He added: “We always want to raise the bar when it comes to offering our staff the best possible benefits… We also just really, really like dogs.”
If you’re already checking their website for vacancies, wait – it gets better. Once the employees are done with their puppy parental leave, they get to bring their pooches to the office. BrewDog’s Aberdeenshire HQ currently boasts around 50 regular office dogs.

They should tie up with shelters and say "additional two days off if you adopt n don't shop!"
Great idea !
This is sad only because in the US you don't even get paid maternity /paternity leave for a human baby. Feds give you 6 weeks unpaid. And if both parents want to stay, it is to be split between the two. (This is federal law - it can differ per state, but few have anything above federal)
But it does sound like a great place to work and I think it is a good benefit.
actually in most cases like this state law overrides federal law. kinda like how some states took obamacare $$ and didnt use it for medical purposes, then claimed obamacare didnt work when they had to further off set it. also a lot of employers will have their own maternity/paternity leave as part of your employement conditions.
that German shepherd is AMAZIIING
do you know what breed the little one with ears is please?
sorry : edit: i would really work hard and carefully for bosses like that!
