Inside a prison

Inside the former House of Detention in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The penitentiary ” de Leuvense Poort” just arround the corner of the old Palace of Justice. This facility was built in 1804 as ” urban improvement house” later on successively as a house of correction, also a prison for women (1872) since 1884 till aprox 2000 the detention of 220 convicted guys , awaiting their sentencing.
Today this prison is a State Monument.
