Its summer time ( Yes we do get those in Canada !! ) and I like to cool off with sweet cold desserts at least once in a while. I recently came across a line of frozen dessert bars by the Canadian brand PRESIDENTS CHOICE called ICELANDIC STYLE YOGURT SKYR. I got the PRESIDENTS CHOICE ICELANDIC STYLE YOGURT SKYR LEMON ice cream bars to try and review. At the time that I reviewed and recorded the video I had no idea what SKYR is. Apparently SKYR is a type of creamy Icelandic dairy product. Im still not sure how to pronounce SKYR though . The bar is about the same size as an average ice cream bar and has a nice and pretty pastel yellow and white stripe pattern design on it. The SKYR LEMON bar didn’t have any distinct scent to it . This bar tastes very creamy. It tastes like its full fat ice cream with a slightly tart lemon zest cheesecake flavour to it. The texture is between a creamy ice cream bar and an icy bar. At first when biting into it its a little crunchy but then the centre is creamy. There is a perfect balance between sweetness and its lemon zest and slight tangy flavours. For some reason to me it tasted like the bar was sweetened with honey, not sure if thats the case or not but I liked it.
