Trolls Tell 23-Year-Old Mom Her ‘Disgusting’ Stretch Marks Make Them Want To Vomit, But She Had The Best Response
Stretch marks don’t usually belong to the celebrated side of a postpartum body, but they are part of the experience nonetheless. After having quadruplets, 23-year-old Doreen Ching from Malaysia has decided to share private photos of the impact that giving birth had on her body. Coming to terms with the changes, Doreen hoped this would empower women who are going through the same post-pregnancy stretch marks ordeal. Among the voices of support, however, there were some shouts of hate that described her as ‘ugly’ and ‘disgusting’ to which she served the best comeback possible.
“I received a lot of mummies’ inquiries asking me how to eliminate the scars as you’re gonna be scarred… and that’s the price of having and raising kids, even if you have money,” Doreen wrote. “There’s no way to get rid of it, and it’s like, every day, every day, every day.”
“Only 21 at the time, I wondered how I would be able to accept my stomach looking like this for the rest of my life. The first thing I did when I got out of the delivery room was to look at my stomach and my tears came out. I was cracked up to a very serious kind of rupture and skin tissue was damaged.”
Receiving 23,000 reactions and 12,000 shares, her post was attacked by trolls as well. “I see a lot of people commenting calling me ‘ugly’ and it makes me very sick so much so I want to throw up,” the mom wrote in a follow-up post. “Some men said it was all the woman’s fault for wanting to have so many kids. Do you have any respect for the women of the world? Your mother? Your wife? And a woman who can afford to have children?” It’s clear that this proud mom won’t be threatened by random internet bullies. Kudos to her for keeping her cool and telling the real story and best wishes to her big beautiful family!

Despite the many who applauded her honesty, some commenters had the guts to say that Doreen deserved the marks for ‘having too many kids’

Show me a woman whose belly wouldn't have stretch marks after carrying fricking QUADRUPLETS for 9 months [I'm assuming by the babies being much too similar to be regular siblings] Good god people are thick.
Not onlty that, but she is Asian, which makes her smaller in general than other "Western" women. Not only the physics, but is is only 23! C'mon people, show her respect, she more than deserves. Stretchmarks? Who damn cares!
Not only that, she's only 23! Those marks are permanent, but she's young enough that they WILL fade over time. They aren't going to be that dramatic forever.
Not only that, she had quadruple FIRSTBORNS!!!

Who cares? She does obviously.
Agreed, it's literally impossible to prevent the entirely human and natural creation of stretchmarks. I'm a bloke who grew quite fast when I was 14/15, my back is therefore littered with stretchmarks. It's just being human!
Thats gonna hurt
People are thick lol u mean sick.
They seem to be quadruplets because of age, but I don't think they are identical which means they do share the same percentage of genes as regular siblings.
"having too many kids", what, was she supposed to keep two back inside her for a later date?! it's all natural.
😂😂exactly... How can you just stop the birth of too many kids when they're all huddled together in your belly at once ? Some people really don't make any sense...
Sadly, it can be done is and is called "selective reduction". A rather nice way of saying killing off the extra babies.
Thickos.
true. she did not had any say in how many children are going to come from any given pregnancy. It doesnt work like that (tho it would probably be nice if it did...)
yes, i've got 4 babies inside me, I'll have one today, but save the other 3 until later in the year if that's ok?
@stellermatt or maybe like this? I'm going to grow one baby for 9 months, have one, grow another, have another baby, repeat :) Sorry for the word "grow", reminds me of plants, I can't find a better word for now.
those babies are cutie pies
yes! can we focus on the awesome kids she's raising.
Ikr? They are so adorable
