Adopted July 28, 2022. Came in room and jumped right into Arnold’s Lap, my Husband of 44 years, was so taken with her he just said, we’ll take her. We were at Germanton Rescue, in Stokes County, NC. She was just what we needed. Our Chocolate Labrador of 15 years was struggling and we knew it wouldn’t be long so we wanted another baby to help the transition. We brought her home. As we entered out home I let go of leed and told our new Baby, we have a little girl and she is not feeling well and you need to say hello and be nice. She went through kitchen and dining room into living room and got on recliner with Tara. They laid together and went to sleep. No smelling, no growling, just laid down and went to sleep. I was so pleased. My husband went to his recliner and not even an hour later, I found the new baby sleeping with him. Both were so comfortable and I just can’t tell you How much I just fell in love with that baby. I thought it was so precious. I did get a picture. Not Knowing just less that a month later I would Lose my Labrador “Tara” on the 21 of August but also lose My Husband on next day the 22. That was devastating. If you’ve ever had a dog you’ll understand, and the next day you Husband you’ll have no idea what an impact that has on your life. I think my Rescue of that little dog “Precious” was meant to be. I can’t imagine how I could have made it without her. She and I have been inseparable and I’m so glad she has come into my life. I believe my husband knew somehow I would need this little girl, mixed Chocolate lab with tiny dachshund mix dog. 26 lbs of pure love.
