Nationwide protests against a recent court ruling that tightened Poland’s restrictive abortion law further. The court effectively banned almost all abortions. The symbol of the fight against the new law was the sign of red lightning visible on the faces and masks of the participants.

(First part) Before anyone makes anti-abortion comments, I'd like to say something. I am not here to draw you from your beliefs, I merely wish to share information from various health institutions. Many people consider abortion as murder. An example of murder is the killing of your sister, or perhaps a co-worker or friend. They are people, that is why we call an individual a person. A baby. A baby is a person that has been born. They are alive. During a miscarriage, the baby will be alive, but for a short amount of time. Still, they are alive. Now, a fetus. It is not alive. A fetus is an unborn child. Keyword: unborn. They are not alive. Apparently, some people believe a fertilized egg is a born person. If we can devote millions of dollars to save fertilized eggs, then why can't we devote millions of dollars to preventing miscarriages. People will attribute that to 'natural' causes. Would you call a miscarriage a murder? Hardly. Abortion, in some people's eyes, is murder. Yes, a miscarriage and an abortion are quite different, but in the end, the outcome is the same. The child will not be alive.
It is rather ironic that Poland now are tightening their abortion laws as in the 50ties-60ties Poland was the go-to country if you wanted an abortion.Lots of Scandinavians who did not have the abortion law yet went there.Apparently money was more important than Catholicism or the Solidarity Movement was a bigger problem for the government...just saying
I don't understand why abortion is viewed as murder. It cannot be murder if the child is unborn, they are not alive. Many women get an abortion because they don't want to or cannot take care of the child. Some women get an abortion because they don't want the side effects that come with giving birth. Abortion can be beneficial to the unborn child and mother. What if the mother didn't have the resources to take care of her child? You'd be letting the child be born into poverty and suffer. The mother would have to watch her child suffer and be powerless to do anything about it. What if the mother wanted to finish her education first? She wouldn't be able to achieve her goals with a child. We women have control over our own bodies, it is not up to the government to decide what we get to do with ourselves. Not all women are Christians either, so you cannot force them to give birth because of a religion they don't follow. We do not belong to you. We are not your slaves. You do not own us.

I notice that it seems to be the men making comments about how f****d up it is that women want to kill their babies. This isn't about killing babies, this is about women's rights.
Thank god i had an abortion! I'm 34 and i 'm wearing my pill on me for 3 years in my arm. If it did not work i'ts not my fault. No pb with it nore the father! Brett Connor and your friends i could kick you under the belt, but you are so sure that you are right, that you are right. LOL

The result is a killed baby. Reality is hard.
I think the core conflict is what you are referring to a "baby", I would see as a jellybean of a mass of fetal cells. And if you said "but that fetus has the potential to become a baby" - then I would argue so do all the sperm and eggs that haven't been joined, but no one is lamenting that.

Women's rights go hand in hand with cold-heartedness. To have same rights does not mean to act like a psychopath, sister. I see very well that there is not any empathy with unborn life. The loss of connection with life brings a cold world along and feminism is not adult in any way yet. It needs to develop sanity in terms of morale - what we see is a reaction to the identification with the victim-role. To become adult is another story of waking up for what really is important. Abolition should be okay, if really necessary, but women doing it should be taught about how to deal with life. It is not a game. To be male gives the possibility to be more objective than being identified with one side as most women do. I am on both sides when they are rooted in an adult behaviour
Unborn life can't be alive as it is not born yet. You're cold-hearted. Here's a question for you: why are people so invested in 'saving' embryos, and then when the embryo is developed and born, they are left to their own devices with their mother? They don't care about the child after birth, they are using embryos as an excuse for controlling our bodies. Are we not human? We are, and so we deserve rights. You do not own us and you never will. Downvote me if you want, but that'll be a sign that you honestly don't care about us women. Women have the ability to decide for themselves. You can't force us to give birth then take care of the child if we don't want to. You have no control over our bodies. If you don't have a f*cking uterus, then shut up. You get no say in what we do with our bodies.

As a guy, I recognise that however I may feel about abortion, I have no personal stake in it, so I shouldn’t have a say in its legality. I don’t, can’t, and shouldn’t make decisions for women.

THANK YOU! When it comes to abortion, guys shouldn't have a say in it. They can support it, but they can't make decisions for women. Politicians are so invested in embryos when they could be saving living kids from poverty, homelessness, and abusive caretakers. Honestly, if you don't have a uterus then stop controlling ours.
