Lingerie Company Remakes Victoria’s Secret Ad With A More Realistic Range Of Body Types
471Kviews
Curvy Kate, a lingerie brand praised for embracing a far wider range of busts than many other lingerie designers, has released an ad campaign that takes a dig at Victoria’s Secret, whose “Perfect Body” ad campaign drew criticism for suggesting that a perfect body could only be one that adhered to their strict (and slim) standards.
The brand, which creates bras for D-K cups, launched the ads along with their “Star in a Bra” campaign, which lets fans help them decide who their new model for 2015 will be.
After receiving a wave of criticism, Victoria’s Secret changed their ad campaign’s slogan to “A Body For Every Body,” but the models in the ad campaign still did little to appeal to women of different body types.

What about us girls with a small bust compared to the rest of our bodies? The bottom picture shows ladies with a large bust, no one like me!
The company the ad represents makes bras for sizes D-K.
I hear you, I want to see that as well. I do not get the obsession with large breasts, there is a lot more to beauty than a cup size.
Nervous those can be found EVERYWHERE. They're catering to women with large breasts, who very often have a hard time finding bras that fit them, let alone bras that look pretty. Most of them are ugly and plain. Always has to be a self centered person somewhere that complains about the fact that special stores such as this, or Lane Bryant, won't cater to them as well, when their size can be found everywhere. Imagine only being able to shop in a small handful of stores, then having people that can buy clothes everywhere bitching that the FEW stores don't cater to them as well. Very self centered and ignorant way of thinking.
Nothing wrong with a small bust. Usually goes with a nice round butt. But the person inside, really is what matters the most.
Amen to this, although I have never desired for my own use any fancy undies. They look really itchy.
I just thought the same.
I'm thinking "Curvy Kate" caters to larger busts.. Those bras though! Eww
The top says all women have perfect bodies and the second one says we are all overweight and wear god-awful bras..show me the middle-rangers
Whats your problem? There are small girls and big girls, broad hips and slim. I think there are a lot of different body types
to be honest i cant relate to any of those girl with "normal" body types. they wanted diversity, by lack of skinny people?
Ummm the Victorian Secret models ARE skinny. I think that represents skinny women.
There aren't small girls in this picture, there are girls that are shorter than other girls...
I concede the chicks on the left are bigger, but if you think the chicks on the right are overweight, I feel for you.
Do you really think ALL those women in the second pic are overweight? I see at least four who are average or below weight.
There a great cross selection...you obviously have some body issues.
Only about half of them are overweight, if that, but it just goes to show that you are one of the many people that have been brainwashed into thinking that skinny = perfect and that only skinny women have health body types. I feel sorry for you, so ignorant.
They said it is a bigger variaty - not "we cover all the body types"
I think the problem in the second picture has more to do with the quality of photograph and editing and less to do with a lack of diversity.
Or what about a picture showing all the bodyshape a woman can be not because she's obese or anorexic but because she's born like that?
They are from one extreme to the other; where is the middle-of-the-range photograph, in which my partner would fit?
For all ya'll know, his partner might be curvy and average weight but have a small chest.
Pretty sure what he meant was a girl with a similar body to his literal partner.
Victoria, read the goddamn article.. its a company selling D-K bras, why would they have flat chested models???
