Artist Shows The Behind The Scenes Of Pitch-Perfect Instagram Photos And His 500k Followers Love It (11 Pics)
It is always interesting to see the behind the scenes, especially when it comes to professional photography. Not only do we see the reality behind the pitch-perfect photos, but also realize the hard physical work that photographers have to go through and their super-creative approaches to ensure that they capture the very best depiction of their photoshoot. If that wasn't enough, there also comes the photo editing part!
Kai Böttcher is a talented 25-year-old self-taught photographer and retoucher who decided to share the behind the scenes of his stunning photoshoots. When he was only 14 years old, digital art became his passion and he started editing pictures and creating brand logos. As he got older, he became more interested in surrealism and photo manipulation so he decided to apply at The University of Kaiserslautern, which is specialized in Digital Art and Virtual Design. There he started focusing more on portraits as he realized that he loves getting feedback from his models as he perfectly captures their emotions. His marvelous portraits are filled with great colors, incredible bokeh, and mesmerizing tones and lights!

That lamp creates such cool effects! These types of photos are definitely his speciality!
"oh, let's go over there by the gutter and you can lay down on the ground" ew, gross!
This is hardly cheating. Choosing a flattering light or a cool background / light source when taking a picture is not the same as cutting-and-pasting in photoshop.
When choosing foreground objects that cast light or shadow, be cognizant of shadow placement. This image would have been perfect if the door handle from the screen door had not cast its shadow over her chest. Buying props and setting them up is just as important as setting the shot. Great subject however, and great idea.
Use PS to make the pictures perfect. Still good job, I like the pictures.
Load More Replies...Let's admit it we've seen way way too many of these 'behind the scenes' things
and it's not like people cant imagine how these photos have been taken
Load More Replies...I'm curious about the phrase "incredible bokeh" in the opening paragraph - is it a typo, or is "bokeh" a thing?
Bokeh is an effect in photography in which little dots of light are cast in a photo. Here's an example:https://phlearn.com/...ide-no-text.jpg #1 is a great example of this effect

This type of thing has been shown a million times already. Do something new and original
These are called practical effects. Any good photographer is a manipulator of light in creative ways and this is how things like this are done. This is why you hire a good photographer in the first place. Most people think its all just Photoshop and filters, and that's why most people's images suck.
Why just use beautiful, young, female (and white) models? A bit of variety wouldn't hurt. Effects are nice but nothing that wasn't seen before million times, and young, thin models are just to easy to photograph.
Why not? People have been looking at beautiful, young women for centuries so you know there's a market for it. And there probably are plenty of photographers taking photos of older and/or uglier and/or thicker and/or non-white women.

So what? Like someone wondered how it was done? "I wonder how the head the in water is done?" ... Hmmm, put girl in pool, take a picture. Such creativity!
So much negativity in the comments. Panda has plenty of other features that'd probably be just fine with the "meh" people, so why waste your precious leisure time looking at and commenting with barely a decent "creative" thing to say? I sent this feature to my daughter in law so she might dig out her professional camera and photograph the granddaughters. Yes, they're pretty, but anyone can be attractive with the right photographer. And this is a useful article for non-professionals, too. Jealousy doesn't look very good in photo format, though.
I don't like this serie, it makes me see all the b******t that is being sold to us. Take a "next door" girl, apply make up and use a few tricks and pass it on as art. Nope.
Typed out a big comment. Decided I didn't care enough to get into a conversation with anyone about this c**p.
Obviously an artistic endeavor, but who really likes looking at these glamour shots. This seems more like the kind of thing you would arrange for your grand daughter who is graduating high school.
Bored panda you are making US ill with this photo themed posts, with all honesty most of the modelos and photographers are talented I will give
I'm always a little skeptical when a headline says "stunning photographs" and the first image I see is some Instagram model surrounded by glow-stick bokeh. I hate to say it, but I these photographs don't really demonstrate and innovative or fascinating photography techniques. It's a shame because there are so many talented artists on this site, but I feel like these stock "Instagram" photos often get pushed to the front page...
Everyone quick, get a good friend who has a camera (canon, Nikon something) who's also willing to stand up side down, while you stare blankly, to click a picture. You need one!
