My name is Matt Burgess and I am an ocean photographer from Australia. Do you remember my last post from 2017?
Here is the collection of my favorite images that I captured in 2018. All these images were captured in the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.
The ocean is a magical place for many people. To me, it's a special place where I find peace amongst the chaos.

Do you share any photos (outtakes?) on Unsplash? These are magnificent.

This one is truly amazing. I think I have paused and just looked at it for a while now. I want a print of this!

Two waves meet to create a swan-like appearance.
A perfect day in the shore break.
Are you in the water? How do you keep the image so clear? How does the camera stay still?

Load More Replies...These photos are fabulous! Water is amazing stuff, and being able to capture the play of light on water, the different moods of sky and sea, it's truly amazing. You should consider selling a calendar of some of these, the way Clark Little does. I'd buy it!
With my canon camera and water housing !

I live on the Lincolnshire coast in the UK (North Sea) & often fail to appreciate the beauty of the place I live in. It can be easy to overlook when the sea is having a brown day or I am feeling blue myself, but posts & images like this give me a renewed appreciation of it. I hope you appreciate on your off days (we all have them) that you do an incredibly important thing by bringing beauty, inspiration & maybe a little happiness & light into the lives of others! Never under value that!
I absolutely love that you often drag the shutter, and that you didn't over sharpen on the ones that are crisp. These are f*****g outstanding. I can't imagine how many shutter clicks you've put on your camera in the last year doing this. What a treat it must be to review your images and find those gems at the end of the day. You've definitely inspired me to up my game when shooting near water.
