4 years ago I decided to the take my love for the sea and animals and to start volunteering in the Israeli sea turtle rescue center and to document the work and rehabilitation process of the sea turtles.

The National Sea Turtle Rescue Center was established in 1999 by the Israel Nature and National Parks Protection Authority, which is responsible for the protection of wild animals in Israel. The rescue center, located in the Mevo’ot Yam school, has designated seawater pools where Wounded sea turtles are kept. The turtles are temporarily at the rescue center for medical and rehabilitative treatment, and are released to the sea upon recovery. Since its establishment, about 700 turtles have been treated at the rescue center, mainly brown and green turtles, as well as soft turtles, egg turtles, and even five dolphins. About 70% of them were released back to nature.
