Photographer Captures The Moments Leading Up To A Ballet Performance

Having previously photographed the Vienna Festival Ballet I thought it would be great to see the warm up and pre performance preparations that take place. It was a wonderful insight into the time and effort that goes into each ballet.

After a four hour journey most of us would want a cup of tea and rest before work but as soon as the ballet dancers arrived at William Aston Hall in Wrexham their preparations started. Following hair and make up the dancers started their warm up and rehearsal prior to their performance of Cinderella.

All dancers stretched and warmed up and then practiced different aspects to the ballet they were about to perform. After two hours rehearsal they had just half an hour before the ballet started.
