My Grandma (99!) Met Her Favorite Actor [Denzel Washington] Today!
"So story time; my grandma was a librarian in Mt. Vernon, NY Public Library for 50 years. Denzel grew up there. If you've ever met her, she will tell you the story of how she gave Denzel Washington his first library card. And that he was the cutest thing and how wonderful he was. I have heard this story easily 300+ times in my life. :)"
"Fast forward to a month ago and it was her 99th Birthday. The women at her nursing home wanted to do something special so they tried to contact Denzel and get him to come or call, and he ended up calling and talking to her on her birthday. On the call, he said he would be in our city in December and would stop by and voila here he is!"
"He was so nice and caring. Laughing with her and holding her hand like he was old friends with her. He teared up a few times seeing the love and respect she showed for him. She knits a scarf a day and gave him three for him, his wife, and his mother. My mom and I were there with him and my grandma and it was such a cool experience. He kept saying with his publicist 'this is what it's all about.'"
And another to add to the list of people who should be able to live forever so everyone gets to experience their awesomeness.
I Met Jack Black Tonight. He Looked Into My Eyes And Said 'It's Like Looking In A Young Mirror'
"He departed with 'goodnight, my doppelgänger'. This is the best night of my life."
Except the youngster mother probably didn’t give birth to him while simultaneously saving a NASA mission

I was gonna say the exact same thing! He is more Jim Carrey than Carrey himself!

That One Time We Met Jason Momoa And My Husband Came Up With This Great Idea. Two Years Later And I Haven't Washed My Hair!
"Dude is super tall, plus it's from a Con so you get exact 2 seconds to get your pic and move the eff out of the way for the next person. Still a great memory though!"
Love it! When I met him, I was waiting in line. When it was my turn he looked over at me and in his deep voice said "C'mere baby". I walked up to him and just stared straight up at his face and was dying inside, lol
I Met This Cool Guy [Christian Bale] On A 5 Hour Plane Ride
"Basically I was just really polite (maybe overly so?) and didn't bother him for the vast majority of the flight. Eventually I just told him I was a big fan of his work and asked his permission for a pic. I kinda wish I would have talked to him a bit more, but i really didn't want to be an annoying guy who doesn't take social cues."
I totally see what you mean, I'd be really nervous too and wouldn't want to make him socialize if he didn't want too. He does seem genuinely happy in the pic though.
Probably happy that you didn't annoy him during the flight, too.
Load More Replies...A million dollar actor traveling economy on a 5 hour flight. Says something about how modest he actually is..
That's not economy seating; the seats are several inches wider than economy. It's definitely in a higher class, probably first. I'll bet that Christian Bale was happy to have someone not pester him; after living in L.A. and seeing actors pestered all over the place, I'm sure he appreciated having someone *not* do that.
Load More Replies...I feel like sitting next to a celebrity on a plane would make me sweat and would make me so nervous. Especially if Batman was next to me.
I'm sure he appreciated you doing that!!! If he had wanted attention he could have gotten it bbn super easy so I am sure he thought very good thoughts about you having given him some peace and quiet!!! It was kod of you!

Cute! I don't want to be THAT gal, but this one doesn't really belong. You can clearly see the man's name on the poster behind him. He's hardly just living his life, lol.
Look at Lou's hand, he's standing behind a bench or wall or something. Could've been a press event, hence the poster, but Lou is leaning towards the camera for the kids.

"My mom said It felt like she was talking to a normal person. He genuinely cared about their lives. Apparently he is super excited as his 6 year old is about to start kindergarten!"
Being an actor, you have 2 choices: Stay AWAY from the public. Or accept it and don't take your self too seriously for the rest of your life.
So Yesterday I Met My Hero Dave Grohl And Took A Selfie With The Foo Fighters. The Tour Manager Nearly Killed Me
"[The manager] was just quite strict and I guess only has the band's best interests at heart. But when he saw that they were happy he actually took my big camera and took a photo of me taking the selfie. It was quite sweet."
Oh my God. He is the only person on this planet I'd love to meet. 🤘 xcx
Met One Of My Favorite Actors [Paul Rudd] Today!
ah i sat next to him on a plane once...such a nice guy. very genuine and friendly.
Ahh, Paul Rudd, the one who doesn't age. He looks like a really nice guy.
Two Years Ago I Met Chris Evans While Deployed To Qatar. As We Wait For The Trailer For (Possibly) His Last Marvel Movie, I Want To Publicly Thank Him For Everything He’s Done For This Franchise. Thanks Cap!
"First thing I told him was that I loved his work as The Human Torch. He laughed and was a good sport about it. He went around and shook every Soldier’s hand and had dinner with some folks afterwards."
I was just wondering the same thing - and how tall the OP must be if he's got 'Cap' on his toes like that! 😄

People still talk about that series!
My Buddy Met This Strange Dude Wearing A Dinosaur Shirt And Zebra Pants [Jeff Goldblum]
And the friend kind of looks like John Hammond with that beard.
If the guy had a Amber topped cane I'd wonder if this was some odd outtake from a dinosaur movie.

Buscemi is an actual legend. Immensely humble in person. Doesn't take himself too seriously and often jokes that he still doesn't believe he is that famous. Also a 9/11 responder and helped during the fallout of that. Actual firefighter reservist
Hahahahaha, he looks like a very old "home alone " kid - McCauley.....
I Met Brie Larson Working The Night Shift At My Local AMC
Well I Have Met Some Interesting People In My Time But This One Has Just Made My Night! [András Arató, A.k.a Hide The Pain Harold]
When someone asks you for a selfie... but you're trying hard not to fart.
Pain Harold actually loves his fame. He often pokes into 9gag and has a few laughs.
I Also Recently Met A Ghostbuster [Bill Murray]
According to nearly everything I've read about Bill Murray, he is one of the nicest men on the planet. He once joined a basketball game out of the blue, and that zombie movie in which he played himself and got shot was an accurate portrayal of his normal personality.
Load More Replies...Meeting Bill Murray seems to have become a national past time for us. The government should list that as one of the requirements for citizenship - "Have you met Bill? Yeah? Good. Carry on, newly formed citizen."
I met Ernie Hudson at a con. Hate to say he was sort-of a duck but I also met Casper van Dien and he was really cool and down to earth
Aaaaaaay! Look Who I Met At Work Today. [Henry Winkler]
And she brings the finger gun, tsk tsk. The Fonz had no need for the finger gun, woman, what's wrong with you?! I'll put it down to nerves.
For a guy who was the worldwide famous and a TV superstar back in 1976, he handled it well, is is apparently a great all-around guy. That IS Fonzie cool.
He is a kind person at heart so he was always going to be a kind person no matter what.
Load More Replies...Met The Nicest Guy [Peter Dinklage] While Playing Soccer In Toronto. I Was A Little Too Excited I Think
"I was playing a game of soccer and Dinklage and Adam Sandler were walking by with some kids. Sandler was heckling and making funny comments about the game. In response to those who think it's silly to get pictures taken with celebrities, I think to each his own. I admire Mr. Dinklage and I personally think he is a superb actor and I love his character on Game of Thrones. I had a chance to express my appreciation for his work which I think he appreciated in return. I didn't ask for a picture with Adam Sandler because it's Mr. Dinklage that I was so excited to meet. I'm a girl btw... Soccer attire and excited face...guess I need more makeup when I play!"
Love Peter Dinklage! I'd be more psyched to meet him than Adam Sandler, myself!
A stupid movie, but Dinklage's performance was Oscar caliber! Such an incredibly talented man!!!
Load More Replies...You look beautiful so I wouldn't worry about makeup for soccer games. He is a great actor! Wonder how Sandler felt when you didn't ask about his picture.
The Dinklage Family are great people. I went to school with his cousin. Glad you found good company!!!
Love this guy! So incredibly talented, and seems to be very intelligent, without being up himself.
I Met Forest Whittaker In Uganda
"He walked by me and my friends and we were like wait a second that's Forest Whittaker but when we were walking over to ask him for a photo one of the staff where we were said not to bother him. So we went back to eating. Before he left he walked up to us and said it would be okay for a photo now. It was really cool to meet him."
"I was there to help Father's heart mobility charity which works in Uganda. Fathersheartmobility.org for anyone interested in donating etc. He is there for a documentary about the last Rhino sanctuary."
He's always terrific....hopefully everyone saw him as Idi Amin...now back in Uganda!

Look Who I Met [Tom Hanks]! Explaining The Banana To Him Was Pretty Awkward, But Banana For Scale
"He walked into the bar I was at and, luckily, the 711 next door sold bananas. Walked back into the bar and told him I had a really awkward picture request and he was more than happy to oblige. Really nice guy."
I've heard that he is a really down to earth, friendly guy. Good on him!
Met An Absolute Legend. Got Him To Say, 'Well I Don’t Think That’s Such A Good Idea, Tim.' Mr. Al Borland [Richard Karn]
"He laughed and was overall a super nice guy. All smiles the whole time."
I Met A Heart Surgeon [Hidetoshi Imura] While Shopping
"I looked at the shirt before I noticed him and my heart stopped when I noticed it was him"
I liked this thinking the man was an actual heart surgeon. That shows you how much I know about celebrities.
Wait, he isn't? (I am not a celebrity person) (at all)

I Met Sarah Connor [Linda Hamilton] The Other Day
"I own a taxi business in Loudoun County Virginia, her niece called a cab and the driver went to pick up the niece. He brought her to this large farm house and he see's this woman coming down the stairs. The niece says her aunt is going to pay for the cab ride and she got closer, then he realized who she was. About 3 hours later another call comes in for the niece to be picked up. I ride along with him for the return trip so I get to meet her myself. That's my driver in the picture."
Guess she would identify as such. It's not like Linda got famous just yesterday. Edit, just Googled her name to look at a picture of her sister and it says he passed away last year from Covid. That's so sad.
Load More Replies...Met 007 [Pierce Brosnan] This Evening. He Felt Bad For Interrupting My B'day Party!
"I thought of so many amazing things to say to him, AFTER he'd left. I even have his initials tattooed to my wrist (granted they symbolise another 'PB' but still!) definitely could have won some points with that!"
I’m glad you didn’t show him, you wouldn’t have got points, i would have got second hand embarrassment 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Firstly he would know that you didn’t mean him because they are just initials so he would have caught you trying to make a connection where there was none and that’s sad. And if you did genuinely mean him, that tattoo would’ve been the first thing you showed him. Which would have made him think you’re a creep
I Met Bruce Campbell At A Wedding Reception In 1996. Here's Us Sharing A Strawberry
The Chin!! He is the only celebrity I fangirl on. Met him at the 30th Anniversary of Evil Dead event in Austin. He even signed the cape of my Evil Ash figure. He’s such a stud, then and now. Great picture!!
No idea who that is. I'm just hoping she was trying to make a cute caption. Let a grown ass stranger try to share a strawberry with my kid..

I Just Met The Mayor Of Flavortown [Guy Fieri] Wearing A Dungeons & Diners & Dragons & Drive-Ins & Dives Shirt!!!!

I Just Met Hodor [Kristian Nairn] At The Airport!
I Ran Into Jay [Jason Mewes] And Silent Bob [Kevin Smith] Today In Seattle At The Dispensary!
Fun fact they are legit friends before they both started acting
Load More Replies...It's like Smith is wearing that T-shirt so you'll know who he is. "Are you Kevin Smith?" Smith points back and forth between his face and the shirt, then between Jason and the shirt.
Sooo...we won't talk about that thing in the background, right?
On My Way To A Boy Scout Camp I Met Lil Pump He Was High As F@#k And Thought I Was In The Military
Did he think you’re in the military because he was high, or because he’s too dumb to distinguish a military uniform from a boy scout one (the tie is kinda right in your face)?!

Last Night I Met Wes [Anderson]
"We were on a night train to Prague and had some drinks. We ended up in one wagon and were talking and getting softly wasted."
Not a good Idea to get "slowly wasted" then. 😄
Load More Replies...If you click the link under the photo (itsoknow), she met them all (Jeff Goldblum, Wes Andersen, and Bill Murray) on the same train to Prague. Maybe they were off to film The Grand Budapest Hotel?
Wes is my favourite director... I have loved everything he's done.. it would be great to thank him for making the world a more magical place....
Am I the only one who thinks the weirdest part of her posts is the term "softly wasted"? Literally have NEVER heard that before.
i always pictured Wes Anderson as a short, stocky, bald guy with glasses
"It Was Too Late To Ask" [Bill Murray]
Looked at the instagram post and many comments claimed photoshop..wouldnt be surprised since the picture is so blurry. Still very weird to do this
Load More Replies...This is way more antagonising than if you just asked even if it was late 😡😡😡
Isn't this the softly wasted girl? So this is third in a series. Got softey wasted with Goldblum...got softly wasted with Andersen, too late to get softly wasted with Murray.
I don't think it's her. She had much darker coloured hair than this lady
Load More Replies...He can get VERY cranky and is not always known to be nice to his fans :-(
I used to work at a theatre, so I have a huge list of celebs I met on the fly while working there. Joey Lawrence, Jack Palance, Alan Doyle (Great Big Sea) Colin Mochrie, Ed Robertson (Barenaked Ladies) Drew Carey, Joely Ficher, Tom Smothers, just to name a few. Outside of that, I had a lovely run in with Colm Feore while seeing The Rocky Horror Picture Show in Stratford. But my favorite run in was Mr. Stephen Fry. Went to go see him in Mythos, and hoped to encounter him at stage door. No such luck. Dejected went to go eat at a restaurant..and he walked by the window where we were seated. My dinning partner described my exit as one like the witch in Looney Tunes...just a puff of dust and some hair pins as I darted to catch up with him. I tapped him on the shoulder and he pardoned himself, he thought I was running by. I told him I enjoyed the show, and asked if I could have a picture. He obliged. 36889862_1...da9350.jpg
Wow great! I love him, especially in his silly silly things like Alfresco. He's a great actor and looks so fun.
Load More Replies...This must be exhausting for celebrities. When they are at charity events and such it's expected that there would be requests for pictures. When they're out having dinner or running errands, etc I would never be so rude as to interrupt them for a photo. You can tell by the looks on some of their faces. They're not all so happy to oblige.
in this case, he was on his way back to the theatre for a second performance. And I asked, and he was fine as long as it was a quick go. I agree totally though...there are many that aren't so excited about it, as well as, ones that are looking for it. It really depends on the actor and how the fan is acting. Usually, if you are calm and polite about it, and not dripping off them like a crazed maniac, they are ok for a minute or two of their time.
Load More Replies...Went to a restaurant in Nashville and Nicole Kidman was there eating lunch across the room. Still, though, I tell people I had lunch with her, haha. Nobody in the restaurant bothered her for pictures or talked to her, because people in Nashville are cool like that.
I was in the same plane as Maroon 5, apparently, but I haven't actually seen them. Also, I exchanged a few words with the frontman of Conflict, when they played at Monte Paradiso back in 2006 or 2007, not sure now. Made their guitarist laugh during the performance too, because I made the Vulcan sign and shouted "Live long and prospeeeeeer!!!" ♡

I was once on a London Bus with Ben Whishaw (Q from Bond, Paddington) and told him to get off at the wrong stop.
I was at a comedy club open mike night, watching, and a rude, loud woman behind kept heckling the (amateur) comics. Her heckles were keeping me from hearing the jokes, so, being Canadian, I occasionally turned around to give her the annoyed face. After a few comics had done their show, the mc introduced a special guest to the stage, rude, loud Rosanne Barr.
I met Paul Stanley in Ralph's once. I was 7 and had no clue who he was. My dad was super psyched though. My dad is also a friend of Glen Hetrick, so I've met him a few times. Super cool guy, very nice, likes D&D and has cool tattoos. My favorite celeb story though is that time circa age 2.5 when I was at a synagouge potluck barbeque thing and there was this Jewish musician who's name I don't know and I stole his watch. Just walked off with it. Gave it back after my mother realized I took it, I don't know how I felt about it although I think i discovered a freckle that night (could have been one of the other shul bbq potlucks tho)
