Unless you are a committed contrarian, most of us prefer to generally agree with the majority opinion. After all, it's not really worth waging war over a commonly held belief, particularly if that debate is happening online. But sometimes folks do need to vent a little.

This online group is dedicated to sharing opinions that generally go against the grain and we have gathered some of the best posts. From disagreements on simple food items to entire societal movements, people drop their hottest takes. So get comfortable as you scroll through, upvote the posts you agree with, and share your own thoughts in the comments section.

I am a SW dev working 100% remote. Showering every day is a waste of time. Except when I'm doing yardwork. That's different.

Funny how there is no in between. People are either getting into fights over yielding the right of way at a stop sign...or they're running them.

S**t, my wife and I met at work...and we still work together, almost 30 years (and several employers) later. As long as you can separate business from pleasure, I see nothing wrong with it. Sadly, a lot of people are incapable of doing so - we just happen to be lucky enough to be good at it.

I have a French-looking surname that actually has a German pronunciation. Why? I have no f*****g idea. And apparently it's different depending on what part of the U.S. you are from. All this to say that I have heard it pronounced pretty much any way I could think of (and very many that I would not have, in a million years). It stopped being an issue for me after I graduated high school. As long as the paychecks from my employer don't bounce, and my credit score is good, I don't give two s***s how you pronounce it.

If I go to a beach community for a vacation, I might get in one afternoon of beach sitting. Otherwise, yeah, I wanna do stuff. Now, morning walks on the beach daily...yeah, that's different. But sitting and baking in the sun? Nah.
