Installers. That's the problem. They have to hit studs or blocking for them to stay up. Some installers just don't care, if they miss a stud, oh well. As long as they get a paycheck. If you're worried about yours, get someone to check the mounting screws, if they just spin, they missed and need to be re set. If they are tight and wont turn, they're good.

Newer houses are so cheaply made in the US. It'll start falling apart almost as soon as you sign your name on the paperwork. I thank God everyday for my house my grandparents left me.

Alot of that boils down to greed and how fast a contractor can turn a profit. Subpar materials are cheaper and puts more money back in the contractors pocket. Most don't care about quality or workmanship. Slap it together and cash the check.
