There are people in my country who believe that Ivermektin (actualy horse pill to get them rid of tapeworms) can cure covid. Eventhougt, there is no study to prove that, some people eat this, they overdose on it and end up in hospital with covid and also kidney failure...

Similar happened to me. My art teacher almost failed me because she said my drawings weren't free-hand. They totally were and I did one of them all over again with her there, she shut up after that.

I hate how men talked down to women. Terms like young lady sweetheart darling etc are condescending. Why do men talk to woman like they are little girls.

I was the Program Director of a successful child care center and had a really nice office. One day, we had the Fire Department visit the kids on Friends in Our Community Day, complete with the firefighters in their gear and, of course, their truck. While the classes were outside exploring the truck, the HR Director came over for a visit. I’m brown-skinned and was pretty young, and she was Caucasian, in her early sixties. While we were chatting in my office, standing at the window watching the kids, a firefighter came in and joined the chat, sat in the “executive” chair, and then asked “Mary” if it was ok if he sat in her chair as he spun around in it. Mary looked at him, looked at me, and laughed. I very casually told him that this was my office, but, sure, he could sit in my chair. He jumped up, apologized profusely, hugged me and turned redder than his fire truck. He said he would never judge a book by its cover again. 😉

10-year-olds can perhaps be addressed as "young lady", but after that it's usually just an insult.

I'm in my mid-70s. When fellas call me 'dear', or 'love' I always respond in kind - e.g. 'That's quite ok, pet'. It's quite funny watching the double-take, followed immediately by a respect that wasn't previously there.

"young lady" is a common & courteous way to address women of almost all age groupings. being "on set" & not knowing who the director, and other major players are by sight - from most angles, is a major phopaah..

Exactly! A sauna doesn't have to be uncomfortable to be 'good for you' at all! It should be something relaxing, that's all. It might be good for your hearth health, but there's not that much evidence that saunas have health benefits. Still, getting uncomfortably hot is not good.
