People Flooded The Internet To Create Awareness About Violence Against Girls

Every day, more than 300.000 girls -four every second- suffer harassment, violence and assault in a place that they should be safe at: school. The assaults often take place in secret, and the perpetrators are rarely punished. The abused girls have to live with the consequences – trauma, shame, unwanted pregnancy and a ruined future.

Now Plan International Norway will be using strong effects to highlight this brutal reality. In the course of 24 hours, Plan flooded the Internet with four pictures a second of assaults on girls – the same pace actual assaults are taking place around the world, every second, every day.
