Someone Spotted That David Bowie Often Looked Like A Sea Slug, Created An Entire Blog To Prove It (30 Pics)
Bowiebranchia is a Tumblr account that compares pictures of Nudibranchia and other Opisthobranchia to David Bowie. And I know, at first, such a blog sounds a little random. I saw that outfit at the exhibition, and was taken aback at how incredibly, dare I say deathly, thin he had been in those days. That sweater was SMALL.

Back in 1968, Bowie made a short promo film featuring some of his work up to that point, including a then-new song, "Space Oddity", that would have been sent to producers to get a record deal or film work. He wore this outfit for the part of the film where he performed an old music-hall style song of his called "Rubber Band". He'd been an extra in a movie called The Virgin Soldiers when this promo was shot, and his hair was very short, so that's a wig he's wearing.

Fashion may be often inspired by nature, I doubt Bowie had access to any photography of sea life to this magnitude. Only logical explanation is that he was Born of the sea in a past life.
